New Priest Appointed
Rev Stephen has announced the appointment of Toni Wein as Priest in Charge at Glenrock. Toni is currently a Deacon and will be ordained to the priesthood in November this year.
Here’s a challenge
The reality is that people don't care about our arguments, but they do want to know that they have been heard. Our caring of the other often needs to include listening and learning to understand them. It can be seriously hard work.
Blaming the victim
Blaming the victim is a fairly consistent human trait. The poor are blamed for being poor. The homeless are blamed for being homeless. Refugees are blamed for having to escape their homeland.

Kahibah Kids Play Group is a fun gathering for parents, carers and children aged 0-5.

Farewell Reverend Tracey
On Sunday 27 February, we held a special farewell service for Reverend Tracey and her family, to wish them well as they start a new chapter of their lives.
Working Together to Achieve Just Outcomes
On Thursday 11 November, our partner Hunter Community Alliance hosted the Lake Macquarie Mayoral Candidates forum. The meeting was held via Zoom and had a turn-out of over 150 people. Reverend Tracey Matthews and Michael Elliott from Glenrock Anglican had key speaking roles along with other Lake Macquarie Community Leaders.
Back in the Neighbourhood
We are excited to return to our site at Kahibah on 31 October. Zoom has been a great way to keep connected but it doesn’t replace face to face gathering.
Can COVID teach us how to be more human?
COVID has taught us some valuable lessons. Humans have a great propensity to adapt and innovate. We can come together to serve the common good.
