Work for Justice
At Glenrock Anglican we believe all people are made in God’s image. The biblical narrative affirms God’s concern for equity and justice and the need to care for the most vulnerable.
Justice begins in our personal relationships and the way we treat each other in community. As followers of Jesus we seek to be a sign and witness of God’s radical love for humanity. This commitment to justice extends beyond our immediate community and is concerned with social, economic and ecological justice for all people.
We support campaigns that seek to address injustice and work with the Hunter Community Alliance on local campaigns in the Hunter Region. The Alliance brings together diverse community organisations, environmental groups, unions and religious organisations to advance the common good and achieve fair, just and sustainable cities and regions.
As a community we use our human, property and financial resources to make a difference in our local and global community.
Community Organising
Kahibah Village Alliance
At Glenrock Anglican we partner with other local organisations to achieve common goals.
At a local level we are an active member of the Kahibah Village Alliance.
This alliance brings together residents, businesses, and community groups to collaborate and share resources for the well-being of the Kahibah community. We host community gatherings and events to build local connections and a deeper sense of local community.
Hunter Community Alliance
At a regional level we are an active member of the Hunter Community Alliance. We share a common vision for a more just and equitable society and work with the alliance to seek structural and public policy changes for the greater good of the Hunter Region.
