New Priest Appointed
Rev Stephen has announced the appointment of Toni Wein as Priest in Charge at Glenrock. Toni is currently a Deacon and will be ordained to the priesthood in November this year.
Blaming the victim
Blaming the victim is a fairly consistent human trait. The poor are blamed for being poor. The homeless are blamed for being homeless. Refugees are blamed for having to escape their homeland.
Today is International Women’s Day!
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias in our work places, in our schools, colleges and universities and in our communities.
Working Together to Achieve Just Outcomes
On Thursday 11 November, our partner Hunter Community Alliance hosted the Lake Macquarie Mayoral Candidates forum. The meeting was held via Zoom and had a turn-out of over 150 people. Reverend Tracey Matthews and Michael Elliott from Glenrock Anglican had key speaking roles along with other Lake Macquarie Community Leaders.
