Invitation - Community Listening Session
Across the Hunter region in the next few weeks the Hunter Community Alliance (HCA) will be bringing together members of faith groups, diverse community organisations and unions to work for the common good. Listening Sessions are being held to meet our neighbours, share stories and listen deeply to their concerns and issues for the future, the key pressures impacting their families.
Glenrock Parish is hosting a listening session for the Charlestown area, and you are invited to come along, share your story and listen to others. This is an opportunity for you to have a voice in the future of our region.
You will learn how the HCA process then collates all the topics of concern and conducts further research to determine which issues can be acted upon to bring about change. All members vote in this process.
To date the HCA has been working on: the growing cost of housing and homelessness; cost of living and affordable household energy; and a prosperous, sustainable future with good jobs assured through the climate transition. In these listening sessions we may hear about other issues impacting families here in Charlestown as well.
Youth are encouraged to come, and all HCA gatherings are conducted in a respectful manner and adhere to strict time frames. This is a free session and is open to everyone in our community so bring your family, friends and work acquaintances, there are exceptions or expectations, just ‘come as you are’, we are here to listen!

Glenrock Anglican Church, 34 Hexham St, Kahibah
Wednesday 4th September 6.15pm for 6.30pm until 8.30pm precisely (*revised end time for expert talks)
